We are proud members of 1% for the Planet, meaning we commit one percent of our revenue to environmental organizations working to protect ecosystems locally and globally. Supporting conservation is not just something we talk about on the water, it is built into our business model!

We are Climate Positive

We take responsibility for the greenhouse gas emissions we have not yet been able to remove from our operations. We understand that purchasing carbon offsets does not solve the issue at the source, so we continue to prioritize finding regenerative ways to reduce our emissions. We purchase verified carbon offsets from Vancouver-based Ostrom Climate and work with Victoria’s Synergy Enterprises to develop an emissions reduction, monitoring, and reporting program. We purchase 100% of our carbon offsets from the Great Bear Rainforest Carbon Project.

Ethical Wildlife Viewing

We strictly follow all wildlife viewing guidelines and operate with respect and care around marine mammals and seabirds. Responsible distances, reduced speeds in sensitive areas, and ongoing crew training ensure that wildlife welfare always comes first.

Education

On every tour, our guides highlight the ecological significance of the region, from local marine species to coastal habitats and ongoing conservation efforts. Education is one of the most powerful tools for change, and we aim to leave guests with a deeper understanding of Vancouver’s marine environment and how to protect it.

Fleet Enhancements

Some of our vessels are coated with a biocide free hull paint to reduce harmful chemicals entering the marine environment. Traditional antifouling paints can leach toxins into the water, so choosing a cleaner alternative is one way we reduce our impact beneath the surface.
