Vancouver City & Nature Tour: Icons from the Water

Sea Vancouver

Step aboard and experience Vancouver from a perspective few get to see. Our City & Nature Tour takes you beyond the downtown shoreline and into the surrounding coastal landscapes, passing by towering forests and rocky shorelines. It’s a refreshing, immersive way to explore Vancouver, blending the energy of the city with the calm of the wild.

English Bay

English Bay Beach

At the edge of downtown Vancouver, English Bay is where your journey begins with wide-open ocean views and a stunning backdrop of skyline and mountains. As you cruise through the bay, you’ll take in one of the city’s most photographed vistas, often with seabirds gliding overhead and the shoreline buzzing with activity.

Stanley Park

Stanley Park Seawall

Passing by Stanley Park, you’ll follow the coastline of this iconic green space, where dense forest meets the ocean. From the water, the scale of the park really stands out. With it’s towering trees, rocky shores, and of course, the famous seawall. Wrapping around the edge of the park, creating an environment that is uniquely Vancouver.

Burrard Inlet

Burrard Inlet

Cruising into Burrard Inlet, you’ll experience the heart of Vancouver’s waterfront. Here, the city skyline rises on one side while forested mountains frame the other, offering a striking contrast. Keep an eye out for passing vessels and marine life as you travel through this busy yet scenic waterway.

Point Atkinson

Point Atkinson lighthouse

As you round the coastline toward Point Atkinson Lighthouse in West Vancouver, you’ll see one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks perched above the rocks. This stretch of coastline is rugged and scenic, with waves meeting cliffs and incredible views stretching out toward the open water.

Grebe Islets

Seals on at Grebe Inlets

Further along, the Grebe Islets offer a quieter, more remote feel. These small rocky outcrops are a great place to spot seabirds and a colony of seals that call this area home. It’s a peaceful moment on the tour, surrounded by the natural beauty of Howe Sound.

Whytecliff Park

Whytecliff Park

Near Whytecliff Park, the scenery becomes even more dramatic, with steep cliffs and clear waters. This area is known for its rich marine life, so it’s a great place to keep watch for seals or other wildlife. The rugged shoreline here gives a true sense of the wild coast just outside the city.
