The City & Harbour Tour: Vancouver’s Best Views from the Water
Few cities in the world blend mountains, ocean, and skyline quite like Vancouver. Our City & Harbour Tour takes you out on the water to explore the city’s iconic landmarks and scenic coastline, offering views you simply can’t experience from land. Along the way, you’ll pass vibrant waterfront neighbourhoods and some of Vancouver’s most famous sights!
Granville Island & False Creek

Our journey begins in False Creek, one of Vancouver’s most lively urban waterways. Once an industrial area filled with sawmills and shipyards, False Creek has transformed into a vibrant hub for locals and visitors alike. At the heart of the area sits Granville Island, famous for its public market, artisan shops, and waterfront restaurants. It’s one of the best places to witness Vancouver’s creative and community-focused spirit.
Siwash Rock

Standing tall along the cliffs of Stanley Park, Siwash Rock is one of Vancouver’s most recognizable natural landmarks. This impressive sea stack rises dramatically from the ocean and has been shaped by thousands of years of erosion. On our tours, we share the history behind this icon, bringing it to life.
Coal Harbour

Next we cruise through Coal Harbour, a stunning marina district located between downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. In the late 1800s this area played a major role in Vancouver’s coal shipping industry, but today it’s known for luxury yachts, floatplanes, and scenic waterfront walkways. It’s also one of the best spots to admire Vancouver’s skyline rising against the backdrop of the North Shore Mountains.
The North Shore

Across the harbour lies the breathtaking North Shore, home to dramatic coastal mountains, and outdoor adventure. The towering peaks of Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, and Mount Seymour dominate the skyline and are a defining feature of Vancouver’s landscape. From the water, the contrast between city and wilderness becomes clear, one of the reasons Vancouver is consistently ranked among the most beautiful cities in the world.
Lions Gate Bridge

No Vancouver harbour tour would be complete without passing beneath the iconic Lions Gate Bridge. Opened in 1938, the bridge connects downtown Vancouver to the North Shore and has become one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Stretching nearly two kilometres across Burrard Inlet, the bridge offers spectacular views in every direction and is a favourite photo opportunity for visitors exploring the harbour.
English Bay

Our tour also takes you through beautiful English Bay, where the water opens up to the Burrard Inlet. This wide stretch of water is famous for its sandy beaches, busy sailing routes, and spectacular West Coast sunsets that light up the Vancouver skyline. If you’re lucky, you may even spot harbour seals swimming nearby or popping their heads up curiously as the boat passes through the bay.
Kitsilano Beach

On the south side of the harbour sits Kitsilano Beach, often called “Kits Beach” by locals. Known for its sandy shoreline, and incredible sunset views, Kitsilano is one of Vancouver’s most popular neighbourhoods. From the water, you’ll see locals enjoying paddleboarding, sailing, and soaking up the oceanfront lifestyle that defines Vancouver.
